I don't quite have that problem ... or maybe I do but my usage patterns are different. When I recently did an OSX upgrade I found the behaviour of the handling of HDMI and the internal jack had changed. Now if OSX detects that the internal jack has an electrical connection (i.e. something is plugged in) it will default the sound to that output.

You have not said which version of the MacMini you have, whether it has an independent monitor got normal use (i.e. the MacMini is more than a media server), nor how far apart the BV7-40 and the MacMini are, nor whether there are spare AV ports on the BV7-40. All are important considerations. If you don't want the MacMini connected to the BV7-40
Are you sure about your 3GS? Because I have no problems to mirror to my ATV2.
Just to be sure we are being precise with our terms ... AirPlay audio = what we all know about, playing music to an AirPlay audio enabled device such as a BeoLit 12 or an ATVg2 AirPlay video = where a video iApp takes advantage of iOS
Thks a lot. It's an iPhone 3GS plus Ipad2. So I need to invest in ATV?
I use a 3GS, my wife a 4S, and we have an iPad gen 1. So only my wife's phone can be used for mirroring iPhone game play onto our ATV gen 2. For all other work (so far) we have had good success, and yesterday I installed and integrated
That is actually what it is supposed to do, picture mute tells the tv to go to audio only mode. You could set the default stand position for audio, and the default speaker option for audio, to be the same as the video settings - then you would just get the screen going off. The BV10 doesn't have that facility. Do
However it can be used in PC-mode.
Investigate the LinkPlayer threads.
The downpart about this solution is that the BV7 screen won't go to sleep while listening to music.
Program [P.MUTE] on your Beo4.
Enya - Storms in Africa
Thank you ! I had a very enjoyable time browing many of the youtube recordings - I guess for me I preferred the ones with scenery of Africa (being form South Africa myself), and I wondered if you spotted the one which is the original (lost) studio recording (poor quality) that has visuals
Just ordered a BV 10-46, a pair of 8002s (both new), a BL2 and a pair of 6000s (both pre-owned). I nearly bought a BV 10-32, BS5 and a BS8 but managed to escape the shop with only £10K damage to my credit card! PUMA
welcome to you second post in Beoworld (or so the count currently reads, but maybe this
Easy! Apple TV
correct ... exaxtly what you can do (e.g. mirroring) depends on the precise model of the iPhone, but in general: iPhone ))) airplay ))) ATVg2 ==hdmi == BV10
