To the post above. Here's the Mark Levinson "Red Rose" version: http://www.redrosemusic.com/affirmation.shtml And here's the Dussun original: http://www.dussun.com/english/v8.html ( The only perceivable difference was the price differential: from USD 900 to USD 7000.)

Mark Levinson, mentioned above, is both a good example and a sad case. Mr. Levinson is personally no longer involved, the company is owned be the Harman International Industries Group. Levinson left the company to manufacture under other brand names, and fathered the Red Rose scandal, which revealed that he had just renamed Dussun HiFi components, without

I don't see the problem. Most electronics these days are put together with parts made in Asia, all the way down to the individual cap's on the circuit board. Some manufacturers then supply their own skins to the innards. In non-B&O A/V it's at times amusing to watch how many manufacturers are using the exact same internal workings, with

I think you should check your option settings and what you have set up as audiomaster. For the s/pdif to be recognized by the speakers when you press CD, i think you need to check the config btw bs9000 and bv10. Others here will be more knowledgeable than me as to specifics.

Why no no side view? Prudish Americans... Good place to sell this. http://store.apple.com/us/product/H3631LL/A

Yes, I am aware of that, Ehlerz. But your BV7 has good DACs, and are passing a converted signal to the BL5s, where it is being properly amplified. The advantages of the hdmi-signal being properly handled in its various configurations (two-channel, multichannel) are preferable to trying to set up a separate signal chain, in my opinion.

Unfortunately, some of the people responsible for the strategy in the U.S. and in Asia/Emerging markets managed to sidetrack B&O into becoming exploitative rather than explorative -- and until that's sorted out, the brand will be at the mercy of the shifting seas and not in control of its journey.

I don't know whether you can use a DAC anyway - I don't know whether the s/pdif precedence works in that set-up, as you're using V.mem -- maybe if you use PC for the Mini? But there are good DACs in the BV7, and the signal going from the Mini to the BV7 is digital through the HDMI. Here I'd go for keeping things as simple as possible

Yes - the minijack out on the AE has the same dual-function as the minijack out on a MacMini or Macbook - you can take an analog signal out, as you do when you use the earbuds-connector; or you can take an optical Toslink s/pdif signal from them. Then you just port that to a DAC that accepts an optical Toslink s/pdif, and which has RCA LINE OUT for
... just like the rear edge sag develops if anything at all is kept on top of the deck.
The famous B&O flowerpot sag on these turntables.
