Short answer is that the 8002 is the best deck for MMC carts. The 5005 series or any of its tangential derrivatives cannot match the 8002. I have owned them both, and I let the 5005 go and have slept soundly ever since ;)

Steve, I don't need a BS8 and am not really interested in it, but just wanted to say well done if you have identified a way of expanding the functionality of a product 2 days after its launch! Bravo :)

Got a very strange problem with my Beosound 2! Sometimes when it is inverted or generally moved about quickly, it slows the music speed down just like in the days when batteries were going flat on a Walkman. It can also decide to skip back to the beginning of a track if it is moved. It is generally ok on a flat surface, but I want to use it for walking
