According to the specifications on the Bang & Olufsen website , it would seem as though it doesn't. It can decode surround-sound soundtracks, but they get downmixed into stereo (or possibly Dolby 3 Stereo? maybe not). The Nad PP1 is pretty good - I have one and think it sounds fine. I also have a ProJect Phono Box though which is especially fab. The pre-amp really does leave quite a big mark on the sound...

Is this for use with your BeoLab 5s? If so I would definitely suggest the Benchmark DAC, which really is absolutely excellent. Of course the most ideal route to go down would be digital out of the Airport straight into the BeoLab 5s, which will sound quite a bit better, but this isn't always possible with more complicated setups...
