• Re: Any further improvements to BV 7-40?
Like moxxey, i also had MKII which is HD ready, to be honest i would have kept this if there are HDMI connections rather than picture quality because 720p is still pretty good in B&O products.
Yes, you make a very good point which I forgot about! Even though the MKII came with a single DVI socket, no Beosystem
the Beocom 5 cut out on the call Was that with the new Sw 2.4?
erm, no! It was only released today? :) I'm talking about the new Beoline above. A new version with improved RF sounds like they've upgraded the frequency to stop the cut outs.

BTW guys, one tip from me is to get that Airfoil speakers app. It's superb. You can hijack audio from any source on your computer, then use your iPhone/iPad as a remote speaker (or, if it's docked, the dock speaker). I use this system to push Flash-based password controlled radio (for my football team) to my BS8, via the iPad, using Airfoil
Has this something to do with the well known problem _Loss of base connection_??
Yes, very interesting. I wonder if they realised that software improvements weren't enough to fix that problem....so they are bringing out an improved base? I wonder if we can get it swapped out under warranty? I was on an important
I'm not sure I agree with Moxxy on this one. The system chassis is the primary benefit (sound, picture, connectivity processor), thereafter, you'll see very modest brightness, contrast, black level and panning improvements between the MKIII display of late 2007, the MKIV and MK V. You'll also get the Digital
The quality of a TVs internal processing will have a major influence on the picture quality, especially of SD material. Otherwise, why would one have need of expensive external processors such as Lumagen?
Not really. I think you miss the point. I mean that LCDs tend to show the picture "as is" in all
I checked my other radio app but it did not have the BBC, so I downloaded a new app, called "tunein radio", and checked its access to BBC2 and voila !! it worked :-)
Yep, see my post above. LOL. I even bought the Pro version as it's an app that works, without fault. Perhaps B&O should outsource

  • Re: BeoPlayer App updated 1.2.4 released

I just use TuneIn radio (even bought the app) on my iPad connected to my BS8. Never really start the BeoPlayer app. It's yet another software product from B&O which is substandard, even though they outsourced development!
....presumibly with better picture quality...
I do think we're getting a bit an*l about picture quality. My two year old BV7-40 MKIV was decent and my brand new BV10-46 (with the latest panel) is marginly better. Marginly being the keyword there. People forget that "picture quality" completely depends
1) Does the 3-D 7-40 have a noticably better picture that the 7-40 Mk II? (My local B&O saleman says it does, but I have yet to see a demonstration.)
There was enough of a difference between the MKIII and MKIV, so there will be a big jump between MKII and MKVI. Indeed, didn't the MKII have a non-HD
