That's what I heard Olly. As Graham has mentioned above this will cause them to work for a limited period of time until the charges last less & less before falling off the edge. The compact ones have always done much better than the standard bigger versions. Easy to see why as they are much more contemporary with modern designs. Chris.

I have owned both & they are identical except for the lack of RDS in the 6500. All other specifications are exactly the same. Chris.

You need a 5 cell, 6 volt Ni Cad battery pack (Ni MH batteries will work for a while but not for long apparently). I'm not sure if B&O can still supply these, but they will be expensive even if they do. I would suggest obtaining a battery pack from another source (eg a model shop) & swapping the plug connector. Chris.

Original A8's were never supplied in black boxes so now even the fake boxes are up for sale. Ironically, the fake boxes are the only bits which are (IMO) better than the originals. Chris.
