Standard fitting to the more upmarket radial decks - my 1902 had it.

My MMC2 had a snapped cantilever - Axel replaced it perfectly.

BM-Link appears to work OK with Lion. Bought myself a 27" iMac - lovely screen. Also re-routed the sound - optical out to DAC Magic thence to Beomaster 5500 and to Beoport. Sound is much better than before.

It is , as you describe it, a utility light. It only switches on when the lid is open.

The only snag with this plan is finding a good 6000. Took me a while - and mine is no longer good, having been stored in a damp basement. Working, though it no longer has the RIAA built in!

That is a relatively new set! I thought you had found a 3400! Excellent small sets with good sound.

I think the software has been delayed for the moment - B&O were not completely happy with it just yet. having seen it in action, it will be well worth waiting for.

The problem with the Beo 1 was that it had too few buttons! It made working the TV it was designed for almost impossible! Teletext was a disaster. There is obviously a balance between design simplicity and ergonomics - the Beolink 1000 is a good example of this.

And I actually run Pentas with a BL2. However the reproduction of music is not as good as using my M100s as the bass notes appear very one dimensional - plenty of thump but not that much detail. the BL2 is hampered by the ABRs which muddy the sound. Brilliant for LFE - not so good for music.

I agree. One of the defining characteristics of early B&O was that you didn't need to read the manual! If you did, it was merely to confirm what you had done was correct.
