The fork handle will respond to the heat from your hand and the tines will slowly emerge when in use and retract when placed on the table.
Surely this would be dangerous !!! The tines could emerge before use - no problem.....but in use would be an issue - you could stab yourself

Back in the day, when installing BIG speakers for a living in literally hundreds of living rooms, we had our trusty DJ flight case of LP's we knew would be a "control" for positioning, tweaking and making sure the system was installed as well as it could be. Amongst these reference tracks, a favourite track of mine was Wholly Humble Heart

I suspect his guitar playing soared through many Beolabs over the years....and will continue to do so. Like Rory Gallagher, and many others before him, he has passed too soon. RIP.

These are a surprising amount for a small PCB - about £175UK as I recall. Plus fitting - unless you do it yourself. The link board just clips into a multipin holder - rather like fitting PC memory.
What's not to like? :)
Well, it was made made in an environmental disater zone, at near slave wages, by an uber-corporation that is, like several others, becoming uncontrollably powerful and almost above/beyond the "law" as we know it.... runs away to hide.....

You could go the low tech route of simply turning one pair off when not needed. I have installed many systems like this ( mainly in "L" shaped rooms, or "knock through" living / dining rooms) Easy to do with powerlink supplying all speakers with L&R - just switch of the mains supply for the pair you don't want to hear. Hi Peter - Good poll. However, could I suggest an obvious omission in future options, I have a line output from a computer that gets onto my Beolink through an aux, and so can listen to Itunes / spotify / iplayer etc etc in the bath/garden/kitchen etc . BUT - I don't feel the need for a Beoport - long playlists on shuffle, or a specific radio programme

The avant looks like good buy to me. A BV3 is no more or less compatible with virgin than this avant - it all depends on the software in the TV - which is easily upgraded - maybe £75 - £100 by a dealer, or you MAY be abe to fit the new eeprom yourself if you can buy one over the counter, or via ebay - care and caution are needed in a TV

Try using listAV-phono. Depends on the BCEN2, but my Bsnd900 opens up its AUX input when listAVphono is used on a beo4 in the main room. I use the listAV facility a lot. My set up is : AvantDVD ( with 4 x beolab) in same room as an ML'd BSnd 9000. In the Bsnd 9000 Aux is a beogram. In the Avant VTAPE input is an audio only feed from my computer
After playing around with resetting the Beo4 options (2 for TV, 0 for BC2) the TV eventually responded. As the TV would not respond to the other Beo4 in my house that I had not re-optioned, this is a bit of a mystery to me, other than to now think/ realise that the option selection doesn't just affect what the Beo4
