Is there anyone who has a BS9000, who doesn't have a story about someone that has never seen one and doesn't think that it is the coolest CD player or stereo anything that they have ever seen?

Soundproof really I think you are right. I recently procured a BS9000 with 4 BL4000 speakers. Sold the BL4000 speakers for as much as I paid for the total setup, essentially getting the BS9000 (a MK III unit) for "free." That kind of a deal, or a good used one, would be the only way I would purchase one of these. Now I use it as a stereo receiver

I think he repairs them to MMC1/2 specs. Also, on the website I belive it shows what the cost is (99EUR if I remember...don't have the link handy)

Really B&O needs to produce a decent all-around sub, one great for movies and music. BL2 great for movies, not optimal for music BL11 good for music, a joke for movies

Both of these speakers need subs if you want deep base.

I've sold two MMC1 carts on ebay, one for $425 and the other for $849 (US dollars). The one for $849 had the original triangular box which you never see. So yes, there are a lot of people who will bid these kinds of prices.

If you don't have a surround processor or some other way to change what frequencies go to the sub vs. your beolab 4000s, then get a B&O sub. I have a BS1 surround processor and recently because of suggestions here went the a B&W asw850 (their former highest end sub and way more powerful than the PV1) and it is awesome.

I can operate the BC9500 fine with the remote, including changing the source and turning off/on, etc.

I tried that, but will try it again... I put fresh batteries in when I got it.
