Hi all, I currently have a BeoVision 8 and a BeoSound Ouverture masterlinked together, set-up in such a way that the BeoVision is the "master" (receives signals from the Beo4) and pulls double-duty as the speakers to CD/radio music. One problem with this setup is that the front panel of the BeoSound becomes semi-useless... sound settings such

I don't think anyone implied that Beolabs were second-rate. The references to the other companies were for unconventional sound-producing technologies that might help B&O achieve a thinner profile in their TV's without resorting to tiny, shallow woofers. No doubt B&O could design and manufacture an electrostatic loudspeaker, or even

I am feverishly awaiting the arrival of the BV 10. From what I hear, the quality of the loudspeakers should fall between the BV 8 and BV 7, so the slight thickness would make sense from an engineering standpoint to accomodate the loudspeaker enclosures. Alternatively, they could license technology from Quad and incorporate electrostatics. No limit to

Does anyone remember the watch B&O offered many moons ago? It's somewhere in the BeoWorld archives, and had an integrated remote control. Think it was a gift item or something. Anyway, this BeoTime looks like an evolution of the concept. Leo

The Loewe Spheros 42HD is a decent TV. I bought one for the living room a few years ago, just before they left the US market. Picture is excellent on HD, kind of blurry on SD (not as good as the old Panasonic tube). Sound quality surprisingly is very poor - boomy muddy bass, tinny highs (BV8-32 is much better). However the motorized floor stand gives

That's a really great feature set. I wonder if it isn't too late in the design process to include a kitchen sink option. Imagine the aluminum in the sink matching the color of the TV bezel! It'd be a classic for sure, and another first for B&O. I've always hated the long walk to wash my hands in the kitchen. Leo

Why don't you install and try it for yourself? If you have a PC, that is. A quick search on BeoWorld will turn up the download link. I'm thinking of trading in my Beo4 but not until I'm convinced that I can program the thing in the comfort of my own home. Not just in order to save money, but the fact that I live over 2 hours away from the

I think someone posted a link to the proprietary Beo5 configuration software on BeoWorld. Reportedly it works fine on both PC and MAC. Can someone confirm? If I bought the Beo5 as is (without dealer programming) and installed this software on my PC, would I be able to configure it easily (I'm not a software engineer)? Leo

Thanks. Will have to endure the wait! Leo

Does anyone know if the BV8-40 will be available in the USA? Thanks, Leo
