  • Re: Keep the Beocord cassette decks alive!

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that I use my BS6500 for timed recordings of radio shows as well. Just so easy with the Beolink 7000 I do play some odd recordings I have on old tapes as well. Despite random storage conditions, many of them still sound absolutely flawless after 20 years or more... seems like my old JVC was in good shape back then as well

[quote user="Steffen"] Nice to know that you like the sound of your BC 7000. But my experience with that tapedeck is, that the soundquality is not up to the standard of the previous models. One note in case there are other perverts that want to run Spotify under Linux... I upgraded my main home PC to latest Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and installed the Spotify+Wine setup on it as well. Between each song played, the mixer playback volume ( not the Spotify volume) kept resetting to 0%, thus no sound until I cranked it up again. After quick research

  • Re: BeoLab Penta 3 | Storage | temperature range

They probably have no particular limitations. Commecial grade electronics in general (at component level) is usually specified down to -40C, but even that is no hard limit - just something the components have been statistically proven to survive. This however requires dry (non-condensing) conditions. I have plenty of electronics that spend the winter

  • Re: Beocord 3300 Help needed

Congratulations on your new system and welcome to Beoworld Sounds like you have a bad connection inside DIN plug, possibly the ground connection. Could be in the receiver socket as well, but start with the easy things and take a look inside the plug. Don't keep the volume that high when troubleshooting, you might damage your speakers.

  • Re: BeoGram 4002 6000 (AC motor) capacitor

Mine doesn't have a cap there (and I see no traces of one having been there either). Can't be too important... but I always use 100 nF for everything

  • Re: B&O Financial Statement

It's (yet another) downhill day for the markets in general, though - so this financial statement probably didn't have much effect on the share price either way.
