We last had our Avant software updated about two years ago. I believe it is version 4.7 and is a US model. We will have B and O at our house next week for another purpose. Is there any benefit to having the Avant updated also? Anything new in the software since then or just more supported devices?

Dealer is installing our new BV 7 July 2nd. Patience and caution won out over our eagerness to get it quickly.

Thanks! The only Masterlink wireing in the link room is in the wall to the ir receiver. The only connections I have access to in the link room are the two powerlink connections for the two speakers. When B and O wired the house we had no intention and no desire to have a TV in the link room. Also, I did not think it was possible to link tvs in the US

We currently have the following set up: Main room has an Avant with four speakers and sub and a Beosound 3000, Link room 2 has the circular wall mounted ir receiver with volume and on/off and a pair of speakers, link room 3 has a computer and Beoport with speakers. All of the Masterlink connections are in the main room behind the Avant. In Link room

Have now talked to the dealer and been given the combined size of the 2 pallets/boxes for the stand and BV7, we are having it shipped/delivered.

Maybe they started with 4.24 instead of 4.20 4.23 in recognition of the 24fprs support? 4.24fprs?

So it is question of being awkward as for the BV7 as opposed to weight? A 50 inch BV4 is 112 pounds according t B and web site whereas the BV7 is only 99 punds.

Is it really that difficult? The tv weighs 99 pounds? Correct? Is that with or without the stand? Programming channels is not that difficult. I have assembled and disassembled, packed and reassembled Beolab 1s, which are not light items. Connecting the speakers etc to a B and O tv is far simpler than a typical home theater set up. I agree B and O stores
