The 4000s are the most similar in terms of sound, I would imagine, if you are trying to "compliment" the 3000s. Beyond that, you leave a lot to the imagination, especially when considering BeoVox. If you like the 3000s, maybe add or trade up to the 5000s. Similar sound character but with additional bass.

I noticed a pair of 802s in the paper last month. Basement finishing I think it was... Anywhoo... I read a comment somewhere on the internet where an owner of the 802s was saying how he humored a neighbor with a listen of a pair of BeoLab 5s. He said the bass wasn't tight and so forth, can't remember it all.

I don't own the BC3500 but I do have the similar BeoMaster 3000-2, but have never been inside it so I cannot give any specific direction on what to look out for exactly. Just be methodical about what you are doing and all will be fine. Take digital pictures as you go so you know what goes where when you are ready to put it all back together. For
