• Re: Contraceptive replaces B&O
There was a bracket to install BeoLit 1000 into your car, so this is not completely true....
Exactly what I was referring to

  • Re: Directly copying to BS5 without PC

With WMA lossless the bit rate depends on the music. Microsoft advertises 470-940 kbps, in other terms 200-400 MB per disc or about 1:2-1:4 compression ratio compared to the raw data. I don't have a BS5, but thanks to fishta's idea, I've finally started to rip my CD collection by feeding them to my laptop while reading the morning paper

  • Re: Faulty MCL2A box and transceivers

I'm sorry Dragos that you didn't get any help earlier, but it is a bit difficult when all we know is that something doesn't work The part in the middle of the PCB is a fuse. It may have been a bit hot, but it could be just the case that those solder spots have been secured by hand soldering during manufacturing for some reason. This may

Well, try to fit a Beolit 1000 into an F1, and they didn't have any other automotive audio products back then...

  • We're at 14,000 members!

Ladies & Gentlemen, as the junior member of the moderating team I've been assigned to announce that Beoworld has just reached 14,000 registered members! Although I haven't been here from the start, I can still remember how half of that was already quite an achievement, just two years ago! We do our best to keep the product information on

  • Re: Any BV 7-40 MK V owners out there?

That supports the theory of some kind of a frame rate conversion issue. It's only visible in the lower part of the screen, because otherwise you wouldn't be able to see it! This 'shearing' of the image can happen when a frame as drawn by the panel isn't completely in sync with a single frame (or field, in case of interlaced material

  • Re: Beocord 5500: Return/Advance not working

I thought so too... My BC6500 is quite unsensitive - or should I say too sensitive - for the track gaps. If there's any noise like vinyl scratches in the recording, it runs right past them. There doesn't seem to be an adjustment for the sensitivity either. I have a 1982 JVC deck which counts the gaps much more eagerly.

  • Re: Question about modifying line-level outs on BM8000

So you are planning to use the signal right before the poweramps, i.e the outputs of 2IC5? It is a LF353 / TL072 / µAF772 which have no problem driving such a load, and its only purpose seems to be buffering anyway. The input impedance of the BM8000 poweramp appears to be considerably less in any case ( < 10 kohm) so you would not be altering
After having the new panel for a while, i have now also experienced some other weird things. The lowest 5-10 cm of the panel seems to be refreshing at a slower rate than the other part of the panel. When watching a sceneshift in a movie, the old scene keeps hanging for a split second in the low part of the screen. It

  • Re: When did the high-def era really start?

The input range of projectors doesn't need to have anything to do with HD television, as they can be (and were) used as computer displays as well in auditoriums and such.
