I've heard it said before that the sweetest B&O amps were those built before the active speakers came about, so the BM 4000/4400/6000/8000/5000 are better than a BC9300 for example. To be fair though, if you wanted 150w from a BC9300. you'd just go out and buy some Beolab Pentas, so it's probably an unfair comparison to make really.

What about the amps too? For example: Is the amp in the Beolab 150 any better or worse than my BM 8000 connected to some Beovox Pentas?

Henry: j0hnbarker: Henry: Radiohead - High And Dry Their best track ever IMO - from a great album too. Well I am relatively new into Radiohead's music. I decided to discover and bought 4 of their albums this weekend. I haven't got a favourite album yet, but High And Dry is currently my favourite song. Alex and I often enjoy to agree to disagree

That's good news Lee. I was looking at the galleries tonight and wishing we had this functionality. Will you keep us posted on the progress with this?

Alex: j0hnbarker: Henry: Radiohead - High And Dry Their best track ever IMO - from a great album too. Really? High and Dry is one of the band's least favourites, and mine too. I still like it though... Currently - listening to Horizon by The Cinematic Orchestra from Every Day... I bought The Bends from Woolworth's the day it came out in 1995

jk1002: I think it is difficult to do a blog B&O related. I mean about what do you write? If you restore old products on a regular basis picures and how tos or before an after wouId be nice. But otherwise I just think its difficult to keep it alive unless you mix in personal stuff. Would love to see the gallery turned on with self service mode.

Interesting article on this appeared (at least on the on-line version) of The Times yesterday. I'd not come across some of these designs before. I guess some of Braun's products were more popular on the continent. Anyone know what the reputation of the Atelier separates is?

darren: j0hnbarker: Lovely watch that I might be soon parting with as I just bought an RF Avant. Congrats on the RF Avant John, its been a long search for you. Did you get a silver one? Thanks Darren It had been a long search. I think it was back in April last year that we talked about them when you picked that CDX up. I've moved since and now have

I have a Breitling Trans-ocean chronograph from the 1970s (stock photo here that I nicked from a website). Has the Valjoux 7740 movement. Lovely watch that I might be soon parting with as I just bought an RF Avant.
