The latest firmware update is 1.32a. The firmware is what is loaded into the Beo5. The Configuration software remains at version 1.30

I happen to be over in Milan 3 weeks ago and noted there is five B&O dealerships in the city, so I think you are going to need the assistance of one of them. Glug, You should NOT get any noise from your Beo5 when it is on the charger or anywhere else for that matter. I suggest you return it to your dealer for a replacement.

The latest version for the AVANT US is 4.9 I do not think there is any benefit to having it upgraded from 4.7 to 4.9. It provides the following couple of extras:- Support of external switch box for multiple YpbPr connections. Support of BeoVision 4 42 and 50 D-Sub input

Dario, I agree with Alex, its more likely to be a phone line problem. Why not connect another phone to the line to be sure ? Also, if you have several extensions, one of those may be the cause of the problem, I suggest you unplug any extension phones and test again.

Jean, There has been a general move over the years to get to one version of a Beovision product including items such as mains power. Several Pace STB's are supported on the Beovision 8-26 including the Pace Viasat DN250 You will need to get your dealer to download the STB's you require to your Beovision 8-26

No video is sent via "Masterlink" in any configuration in Europe or the US, only audio and control signals. I think you will find that there were two IR sensors which physically looked tke same. There was the VX5000 type 1550 and the type 2001 which I understand stopped production around 1995. I do not know the difference between the two.
