The remote won't work if you are in option 0 neither will most of the keyboard although some buttons do work. You need to set it to option 1 as suggested. On your Beolink 1000 press STDBY, SOUND, 1, STORE or on a Beo4 remote press STDBY and LIST together then LIST until OPTIONS is displayed then GO then LIST until A-OPT then 1. Better if you have

A 50hz model cannot be changed for a 100hz model. I can believe that the tube was replaced with a later model from the tube manufacturer as there was a known problem with early 28in Avant tubes. There are no real adjustments one can make other to the lever mechanism. If it has just left the repairers and they took it apart then they should put it back together properly. I would send it back to them at their expense!

Based on my personal >20 years experience (and increasing) about BC9000 I would say that BV5000s are really excellent, their looks is still up to date, RL 60.2.s are also excellent (depending on installation
