Moved onto a bit of Cat Stevens while SWMBO is out getting whatever girls get at a hen party. Still sounding as good as it gets

  • Re: beovox s80.2 repair

Keep an eye on eBay US, as over there they tend to strip speakers and sell off the drivers for some obscure reason. I'm intrigued as to who ate your tweeter in the 1st instance - I'd like to think it was some birdies as that would be somehow poetic Chris.

  • Re: Beomaster 5000 and MCP not communicating

My bad - I assumed there would be a reset button on the MCP5000 as I'm sure there is one on the later MCP5500's onwards. Try a hard reset - simply unplug your Beomaster 5000 from the mains for 10 minutes and see what happens. It is beginning to look like a problem with the IR reciever on your BM5000 though. Chris.

Craig: Medogsfat: Wasn't it just the 32" BV3 that shared the Avant chassis Craig? I'm pretty sure the 28" BV3 was an entry level TV, I know you like yours Craig but to be honest the styling of the BV3 never quite cut the mustard with me - dunno why... Chris. Chris you are correct, the BV3-32 has the same chassis as the Avant. Where

Have you tried pressing the RESET button on your MCP5000 1st? Anyhow - how to cancel programmes via the MCP5000:- 1 Press STEP When you see a display of the instruction you want to cancel press CLEAR. Both the display and the programmed instruction disappear and are cancelled. Repeat the STEP & CLEAR as many times as necessary, to cancel as many

Hi and welcome to Beoworld. Does the Beomaster have power to it IE:- is the samll red LED lon the right hand side illuminated? Your son may have initited a timer function via the MCP5000. In the meantime I'll have a look at the user manual and see how to cancel this awaiting your response. Chris.

Sorry I cannot help you with your current problem but I'm here to offer moral support - do you have a spare bullet by any chance? I'm sure my missus will pay you good money for it Chris.

Just fell over Moby's album "Play" whilst tidying up because I couldn't bear to watch the Leeds Rhino's getting panned by St Helens any more. Stuck it on my System 5500 with the Beovox MC120.2's and - well blow me sideways - this album really demonstrates the detail of these fantastic speakers. BL3's, 4000's & 6000's

slybynight: Many thanks, I was slightly leaning towards the Avant models! But what is an RF tube? will the seller specify this? How do I identify a curved screen one? surely all the CRTs have slightly curved screens - thats partly why I want one! Interestingly - none of the ones on ebay are like my parents - all much newer! RF= Real Flat. Fairly easy
