The shop I use in Helsinki has a large air-went with fan noise above their high-end products such as the BL5 and BV9. When I tried to listen to the BL5's it was pretty much impossible... They did have an uncomfortable sofa.

It's pretty typical of a LCD to smear. Beo don't exactly use the newest screens either.

I would switch. If you're not watching movies, you got the extra BL3 that does nothing, when you are listening to music. The more boxes tends to result in less sound quality. Go for the Nines, I almost did, but chose the Fives instead.

I think you need to look at other makes. B&O don't have what you seek.

As Stefan says, check if your BC2300 has a small window at the low left corner. If not, then yours is a one-way version. The window is at the opposite side of the headphone jack.
