Well, your dealer may be partially correct about the "Contrast Technology" in terms of the maxmium ratio. Both the 50" & 65" have the same electrical spec expect for PEAK contrast ratio which is 5000:1 for the 50" and 10000:1 for the 65" Having said that, the typical continous Contrast Ratio for both screens is 3000

Richard, Given, Freesat is a joint venture between the BBC and ITV and ITV has to pay Sky a lot of money to host its programmes on Sky, I would expect ITV HD to be exclusive to Freesat for the forseeable future.

How old is your Beovision 7 and is it still under warranty ? If your TV "keeps crashing" with the screen going green, then this needs to be fixed by your dealer.

To do a reset of the DVB-T only, you will need to go into the SETUP menu of the DVB, then down to OPTIONS then REINSTALL ALL once you are in France. This does NOT effect the analogue tuner, however you can change the settings on the analogue tuner from the Service Menu of the Beovision 7

timhanna: Also; i have a UK DTV Tuner; so i guess that wont work If you mean you have a DVB-T module fitted, then it will work, however you will have to do a total module reset and then it will come up and ask you which country, you click "France" then scan for stations. See Page 13 of the user guide

A very warm welcome to Beoworld.. As you are talking about Freeview and Sky HD box, I am assuming that you have the integrated DVB-T/S module fitted to your Mark III Beovision 7, please confirm ? If you have a DVB-T/S module for freeview and you have done a number of scans without getting the apparent missing channels, then the problem could be your

I agree with Andy, The batteries are 3.6 volts, in fact they are three 1.2 volt cells in series.

Enzo, The reason I suggested you use a dealer is because based on your "Problem Statement" you had provided which to me means that you could have a problem on one of about 4 modules in the AVANT. What is the 4 digit "Type" number of your AVANT and what speakers do you have connected to the powerlink sockets of your AVANT ?
