?? i believe that the mac tries to recognize the external device .... and then chooses the optimal resolution .... so it should see the BS3. If the BS3 then doesn't rescale to the correct resolution that might be a software issue in it. Where did you change the resolution settings, BS3 or Mac Mini? I heard about similiar problems with unsupported

I saw that one. It might be they discontinue the mini as we know it but do some sort of upgrade to make it more media center like ... that they leave that tiny computer segment open entirely I would not think ......

The connector on the buttom looks like an ipod one ....... giving that B&O had teh clickwheel first maybe its a joint venture ....

One more thing, I wouldn't be surprised if we see an upgraded Mac Mini over the next 12 month that becomes more of a media center, i.e. it runs without keyboard and can be fed from an itunes library just like ITV or Ipod.

The only reason not to use a mini mac in my opinion is if you are on a budget or if you want the itunes synchronization feature. With that 40GB HD that it originally had the device did not make any sense to me. The Mini can be turned into a full media serve by adding external hard drives. The only pain really is to sync up more then 1 itunes library

I am thinking a lot about the surround situation, especially since in the US we do not have a TV that I really want. It comes all down to that I would have to spend 10,000$ on the speakers and I would have nothing matching that drives them. A 1992 AV7000 is not suited in my opinion.
