What's wrong with the S45 cabinets ? Martin
-
Quite disturbing, I agree. Selling CDR or pdf copies of documents is not legal according to Ebay regulations. I've reported some of the listings but nothing happens. Maybe if we all joined forces and reported a lot of the listings. Martin

There's a diode mounted in a little bracket on the outside of the FM frontend casing. It's a capacitive diode and very sensitive to temperature changes which also explains why it is mounted to the metal housing using heatsink compound. As the compound dries the thermal connection is broken and the diode is free to heat up and change its charateristics

I agree. Belts for the Beocenter 2200 cassette section are available as a set with all three. PM me for details. Martin

Well, really hard to say. Was this one of the original symptoms ? Most strange and unexplainable faults in these decks are caused by capacitors, cracked solder joints and, even worse, broken PCB copper tracks. The copper traces tend to crack where a track meets a solder pad which makes it very difficult to spot. The boards are quite sensitive to heat

You can't always see on a fuse if it's good. You will have to measure a bit. Next step will be to check the large filter capacitor next to the fuse on the board. Martin

Check the fuse on the powersupply and amplifier board. It sits well hidden in a corner close to the mains transformer. Not easily accessed. Martin
