• Re: connecting 7-pin DIN to 5-pin DIN

If it is a socket, just use a 5 pin plug - the extra 2 pins are not going to be used. If you have a product with a 7 pin lead, the bottom two pins unscrew - just keep them safe somewhere!!

  • Re: BeoVision 7 40'' BluRay or BeoVision 10 40''

Yes, but it has a SCART lead as well. The HDMI is for the BV10 and the SCART is used for the Masterlink sets. And you can tell the difference - we originally allocated the HDMI lead to the wrong input - changing it improved the quality on the BV10 considerably. Interestingly, the picture on the link set is also better than it was with the Avant. You
Is there any reason why as a second room tv a 7-32 is better than 10-40? I was thinking that a 7-32 panel can be upgraded in the future if new panels are produced with a more superior sound? A 7-32 floor stand with no DVD is similiar in price to a 10-40. Also both have no BS3 thanks Vince
The picture of the

Ridiculous - Is it a bespoke battery or can you find a similar one elsewhere?

  • Re: Which Rear Speakers for blu-rays?

Obviously a matter of opinion but I don't think they need to match, especially for the rear channels.

Martin's kits come, I believe, with instructions. I am sure he can do a Beomaster 4000 one!

  • Re: Quote form B&O service partner

You will have the choice to set them up as you wish - with the more modern sets you can chose between audio and viseo set ups and of course you can also change this using the Beo4. I would strongly suggest that your next TV has a Beosystem 3 processor as it will allow more flexibility in your splendid sounding room!

Speaker 4 effectively gives you two sets of speakers playing stereo. It completely destroys the stereo image but adds body to the sound so can sound quite good. I would never listen to music in this way unless for a party. You need to listen for yourself - go to a dealer and use his listening room with music you know. Speaker 4 sound wonderful initially

I don't actually think that this is such a rip off. I am not sure I would do things as suggested but the cost seems about what I would expect. The long Masterlink is no doubt to save pulling up the floor as he will take it around the edge ? behind skirting? The digital receiver can be used with the new TV - I think I know the one and saw it in action

  • Re: 110V Beolab 5 or not?

I don't really see the problem - the transformer simply needs to be changed - it is mentioned in the service manual for when one changes country. Part numbers are in the service manual on site.
