Jandyt: Duracel here. Lasts a couple of years in a Beo4. Over the last few years, maybe a hundred or so Beo4s have passed through my hands, yet I have never seen a low battery warning! Otherwise, I wouldn't think twice about what batteries to put in my remotes. I usually buy ten-packs of AAA and AA batteries when my wife drags me along to Ikea. Cheap, not as good as "branded" but hey, If I change batteries every 9 months instead of every 15 months is no big deal to me.

evman140: My Beo4 came new with energizers. Energizer is Duracell.

Seems like some part of you setup gives a signal to the Onkyo, and the Onkyo loops it trough even though it's shut off. I would try and isolate what part it is, power up/down with only one source connected to the Onkyo. Maybe it's the Onkyo itself.

Does anyone know if the white BL5 cover is available to buy? I could get it for my 5's... Are they changeable at all?
