I think there is no difference concerning the sound output between the two systems. The main differences are about handling and design, and about the radio, as Alex pointed out. There is a difference in sound quality between the BS9000 and the BS4/BS3000.

I understand that you are not happy about your BS3, but I don't think that this points to a quality issue for B&O. I think compared to the millions of products sold, the number of the defect/ mulfunctioning products is very small. Every high priced brand tries to avoid problems, but they do occur. Let's just hope they deal with the problem
