Graham1982: With the Beosound 2, can one simply drag and drop audio files onto the card and then shove the card into the player or does there need to be some B&O software intervention? I have seen those silly arm band things with Ipods attached but I was refering to students (I was one until last year) who sit in coffee shops with a macbook pretending

Jandyt: Point taken John, I will be more considerate in future. Still pals? Of course :) I've just enjoyed some of the recent threads immensely, and when we've strayed off-topic I feel like I've missed out on an enjoyable read, that's all.

Exactly! Some of the recent posts on the future of B&O have been the best on here for a long while, and I personally have learnt a lot from reading them. All I was saying in an earlier post Andy was that you can't make light of everything, and sometimes threads can get hijacked and we then lose some of the cogency of the very valid arguments

I have posted on this subject before, and for one am glad to hear of the apparent decline and hopeful demise of DAB. I wouldn't mind if we'd been offered a choice, but when state broadcasters such as the BBC relentlessly push the technology and shift some of their programming to stations on the DAB platform, I automatically want to rail against

Beobird: Beoworlders, In the past weeks I saw a few topics about the strategy and products of today. 90% of the replies from Beoworlder are against the rebranding of Philips and Samsung products, repimping of old designs, and the current prices. Today I was thinking:"damn, so much complaints and not a single answer from B&O self". With

Jandyt: saf: a group of very B&O-knowledgeable people (where I do not belong) a group of people chasing the latest thing (where I do not belong) a group of great collectors (where I do not belong), a group of sound & vision experts (where I do not belong), a group of fantastic linguists (where I do not belong) a group of people you can’t

Erik-nl: In the Netherlands we have two porsche clubs One high nosed posh club with mainly new "showing of" cars - with drivers which never opens the engine compartment Another one "a poor mans version" with general older models full of interisting people loving getting their hands dirty . Maybe making something similiar is needed

Keith Saunders: Given the age of the AVANT, I would expect that you will find that the existing Pace STB codes will work with your new box. Cool. I'll keep my fingers crossed! Thanks Keith

I'm expecting to receive my 'new' Avant 28 RF VCR from 2003 later on today, and have very recently had a new Pace digibox from Sky fitted, as my old one gave up the ghost a couple of weeks ago. It's just a standard Sky box, but what I want to know is whether my Avant will have the codes for the Pace box. I don't think it's had

My understanding is that yes, they will work together. The CD50 was sold for a short time with the Beosystem 5500 as the CD 5500 wasn't quite ready for launch. In fact, you'll have some more options in terms of speakers and remotes if you go with the BM 5500. Someone will correct me I'm sure if I'm wrong though!
