The cloth only came in blue or grey and blue corner panel went with blue cloth. The grey cloth models had whiteish anodised aluminium corner panels. If you have seen red then that will have been a DIY recovering job and not original. Replacements have not been available even from Lifestyle-AV for a number of years which is why mint examples of these

kneedowndean: Thanks for the replies everyone. Well, I have had a look for those carriage bolts but could not see them. The door does not open at all, and I cannot hear a motor. If you hold the CD player so that the front is facing the floor, the drawer should fall out. If not then it is jammed somehow.

Given the age of the unit my money would be on leaking capacitors in the power supply area.

Have the CD transit locks been inserted? Turn the CD player upside down and you may see two red plastic twist locks. Remove them completely and try the CD carriage.

Xseries: I have a workshop manual for the Beolink 1000 but only a user guide for the BEO4. Is there a BEO4 User Manual? Any thoughts welcomed. Brian A user guide is supplied with each Beo4. If a user manual is different to the user guide then I haven't seen one. A service manual for the Beo4 does exist and I have one! I am willing to send it to

As Peter says, it's a typo. Another spec written by the secretary in the marketing department. In the service manuals they are both quoted as 20-20,000 I've had any number of them to bits and believe me, they are the same amplifier. I believe the 9300 is actually based on the 2500 rather than the Ouverture and the Jarmans are inclined to agree

bayerische: 4. Enjoy the BS 9000. Save my money. Agree 4. Until they fit a CD drive which would allow me to rip and sensibly catalogue my own collection, I would not entertain a BS5, pretty or not!
