Unstable power supplies I guess -> time for cap replacement... Most probably nothing to do with the tube. Repairable, but it's your call whether it will be worth the investment.

You'll need to connect the ground of the preamp to the metal sleeve of the DIN connector. I assume your preamp has RCA connectors, so you will need some kind of an adapter. There exist some for this particular purpose and they have the grouding connection included, but a separate wire will do fine as well.

Well, this setup is nothing that B&O ever planned for, so there is no getting around the power switching problem without some intelligent custom IR / MCL gadgetry as far as I can see... Do the tone settings from the 9000, everything else is just too difficult in this setup. You can reprogram the option setting (option 1 is normal standalone operation
