  • Re: Any Resemblance?

They say that this is the highest form of flattery. And though I'm a devoted BeoSound 2 user (have been since they were released) it is a bit odd to copy an unpopular and critically panned player 4 years after it was released. I've always thought that the BeoSound 2 was Bang & Olufsen's first and only (to date) pure blood digital music

  • Re: BV 7 - Zoom option on BV7-40

How interesting that Growing Up Live is the culprit! This is my favorite concert DVD and has always given me trouble on B&O players. I cannot even begin to explain why it only happens on this disc (I have never experienced it on any other disc) and why it seems to work fine on any other player. I finally figured out that you need to use numbers

  • Re: Beo 4 question

Not usually. The TV and the BeoCenter 9000 (I have this exact system in my office) will work together using AV commands issued before the source. Program AV into LIST and then issue this command before TV. This has audio & video masters look to one another over datalink for signals. To add commands to LIST: 1. Hold LIST and STANDBY (red dot) simultaneously

  • Re: Anyone know why B&O discontinued the Beocenter 9300 or 9500?

They are fairly common on eBay and generally easy to repair. I have owned two over the years (still have the second one as an office stereo). I too love the form factor, but admittedly it would be a bit silly in this day and age to produce a unit with a cassette deck.

  • Re: Beosound 4 and beolab 3 opinions

As far as people voting with their feet, it's a very popular system. I personally feel that the BeoLab 3s are the best value for the money in the entire lineup (maybe the 5s, but at $20k we're not really concerned with money!). They are extremely elegant and produce a sound that has never been done justice in a Bang & Olufsen shop. I can't

  • Re: BS5 Any news???

FLAC/24bit ? Sure. Why not. It damn sure supports a childlike sense of wonder.

  • Re: Beo 5 or Logitech Harmony?

jk, I'm sorry, maybe the post was unclear. What I meant was that if you are in a link room with no monitor (whether a tv screen or a computer screen) then a readout on your remote would be nice. As for the role of the BeoSound 5, I didn't mean that it would be a remote, but it has a large screen itself, and so you would not be "blind"

  • Re: Your Best Bowie Track

I agree with Ashes to Ashes as my favorite Bowie song. However, I believe that sonically "Bring Me The Disco King" is the most impressive thing to play on BeoLab 5s. Queen *** is also pretty good.

  • Re: Anyone repair their A8 earphone cord

In the US, we have what we call a "fairness exchange policy." If you bring your A8s to any of our showrooms we will sell you a new pair at half off. I don't know if you think that's worth it, but I fixed a pair of my own A8s once and wasn't really satisfied with the finished product. It's always an option.
