  • Re: Weak IR-signal ?

If you put the Beo5 in dealer mode it reduces the signal. Whilst the Lutron IR sensors are less sensitive than the B&O and more directional, nevertheless they do work at a reasonable distance. I suggest you may have a faulty Lutron receiver unit. Have you tried it with the Beo4 to see if you get the same results ?

  • Re: DVD controller?

Mark, There is just two versions of the DVD controller Mark I & Mark II with the software being the key difference If you have a Mark II DVD controller, the software can be updated which allows the support of the previously quoted DVD players. It should be noted that many other DVD players will work, but have never been tested by B&O.

  • Re: Beo4 Query

You cannot reassign buttons on the Beo4. However, depending on Beovision you can reassign SCART sockets to a limited extent, for example AV socket could be assigned to SAT/DTV or V-AUX

  • Re: Avant 28 (curved screen) picture problem

In your picture you show the problem at the top half of the right hand side only, is this really the only place the problem shows up ? Also, where the problem occurs, do you get "Colour Mis-match" in other words with Black & White bars as shown, do you also see some colour around the problem area, if so then you may need to have your tube

  • Re: Beovision 1 problem?

Graham, Leaving it for 30 minutes should be fine, but if you are unsure just take a screwdriver with a wire connected to it and the other end of the wire connected to ground, Touch the metal end of the screwdriver to the eht cap, any power left will go to ground.

  • Re: Beovision 1 problem?

Graham, First, let me say that the picture tube of any CRT TV is like a big capactor when the TV is switched off, so allowing a long time for discharge is important. The tube "anode" is a seperate connection on the glass back and the cable goes to plastic covered plug on the tube which only has to be cleaned NOT unplugged. The cable will route

  • Re: Beovision 1 - format changing

Simon, You need do nothing as complex as opening up the Beovision, just open one end of the SCART plug which you use to plug into the Beovision and connect pin 8 to the shield pin. You could also remove the wire from pin 8 on the SCART which plugs into the Beovision instead if you wish which will stop the noise pickup.

  • Re: Beovision 1 - format changing

Simon, A Very warm welcome to Beoworld.. Your problem is almosts certainly caused by pin 8 on the SCART floating because it is not translated by your converter. Pin 8 has two functions in the B&O world, first it transmits link data to supported products such as a DVD1, but its main use is format control which is achieved by changing the DC level
