I'll never come even close to owning one but, in the interests of debate, what is the point of the stand lifting it 18" to watch and then lowering to the floor again when off, or am I missing something?

If it is indeed true perhaps someone can tell us what part the BS5 plays in the MOTS process and why it needs to be present for MOTS playback? Also, will the rumoured upcoming 2-way remote "require" the BS5 too?

I thought I had read somewhere on these pages that MOTS "required" the BS5.
