No idea! The BV10 is a good set - the picture is excellent - I look forward to the professional review. I would say it is the best picture offered at present by an LCD in the range - it even has a couple of advantages over the adaptive lighting of the BV7-55 in my view. Edge bleed will no doubt be mentioned but to my eyes is not an issue. I feel that

The 9 is only mono - I want the sound from a 7.2! An Avant would do though!

Where are you? And where did the LX6000 originate? I ask as if you are getting black and white pictures, it suggest to me that you are receiving NTSC broadcasts. The user manual is on site and is useful. I can proabably help more if I know the above! I am however out tonight!!

Excellent idea but I would also consider a separates system. For looks and a reasonable performance, Beomaster 2400-2, Beogram 2402 and BeoVox S45-2s. Just given away just such a set up and it is a good sounding system Quite upgradable - you can change the gram to a 4004 later and get bigger speakers if you want - but it is classic Jensen design and

The high frequencies should not really change but the midrange should. This could make the speakers sound clearer. The Beolab 3 would no longer have to reproduce the bass notes (at least the lowest ones) so the drive unit will be able to be used more as a midrange unit.

Return it and get your money back. I imagine there is some component failure but there are plenty around so I wouldn't bother with this one.
Everytime B&O release a new speaker; people complain of a lack of bass... Then the speakers are being used, and people notice a bass improvement... Maybe that's the case with all the brand new BV8 : they have to be run to improve bass reproduction...
I know what you mean but this is not really about bass
so the bv8 has better sound ?
In my view, yes. The picture of the BV10 is a fair bit better. Still playing with speaker settings to find the best balance. I wonder if the sound might improve when wall mounted. It would be interesting to do a frequency response analysis on the 10 though. Sounds like

Actually it is not just no bass, it also seems to be the balance of where the sound comes from - I use a Beolab 2 and Pentas so there is no lack of bass potential - setting the system to Speaker 4 sorts the bass obviously, but speaker 5 seems to send too much to the centre speaker and the bass is just not there. I am going to play with the speaker type
Peter, Is the sound comparable to an MX7000 for instance? beoaus
No. An LX6000 is superior and a larger MX would be better also. Have not done a comaprison with a small MX as don't have one. The AV9000 is better , and that is a mono MX6000.
