moxxey: j0hnbarker: because they were getting the best performing and looking set on the market. I think the point Flappo is making is that today B&O are not using the best panels and not pushing the most up to date connectivity.. John, with all due respect I think you need to see a BV7-40 MKIII for yourself, with the right source, before stating

wirralsimon: Flappo You are undermining your own argument by not engaging with what everyone is saying. B&O didn't made their own tubes in CRT days, and they have always cost a lot more than the competition. So the current situation doesn't change anything in that respect. I currently have a soft-spot for CRT that means I won't be going

Peter : I thought the bottom plate was metal. I don't have mine with me, but I would be surprised if it was plastic. My old one will be up for grabs soon! I am dispersing my collection which is in France at present. Peter - will you let me and the rest of the forum know when you start to sell some of your items? I know from our past conversations

Not so sure I agree with everything you're saying Graham. I think the prices of curved VHS Avants will continue to fall, but I expect that RF VHS Avants will plateau in the short-term as people realise that a belting TV can be had for £500. There are enough SCART sockets on the back to hook up your PS2/3 or DVD player to. Besides, there's

Friedmett: The time has finally come. My Beolab system 8000 is found and complete. Still needs minor work in the beomaster 8000 and Beocord 9000. The system consist of: Beomaster 8000 Beocord 9000 Beogram 8002 Beovox M150 with stands CDX The problem is being the size. I got my Attyca II but its to short for a bm8000 and were do I put the cdx? Is there

If you're after minimalist, you would do far worse than consider a Beomaster 6000 Qaud . It looks the business, will have no probs driving any of the speakers you have been discussing as it has much more grunt than the 901, and it also has the bonus of being one of only two Quad systems B&O produced. It's second-top of my wanted list after

Daniel: j0hnbarker: What a small world. Morley, Gildersome and Pudsey. All about 4 miles from each other! It´s not the world that´s small, it´s Leeds! Oi! It's not that small ;)
