  • Re: HD Ready vs Full HD

Flappo, no idea. Perhaps B&O thought that users would 'demand' 1080p minimum, so they felt compelled? Also, perhaps it's a lack of 40" non-HD quality panels? Are there any 40" 720p LCD panels?

  • Re: Switching to BV9 depends on different issues...

Ehlerz: Yes i have actually considered this, however my dealer told me that this was not going to be so much cheaper than the Fuld HD version with Picture Control. Therefore i cant justify getting a worse version (720) than the 1080. Tricky one!! He's bound to tell you that as the old 720p version isn't available and isn't a TV your dealer

  • Re: HD Ready vs Full HD

thavn: I live in Norway, where there are very limited broadcasts in HD, at least so far. Will the pivture on the BV7-40 be worse than on the Avant (which btw is wonderful)?? What about the 32 inch version? 32 inches is probably more than enough in my living room, but I think the 32 is much too expensive given that you don't get the BS3 and no Full

Ehlerz: By the way, i live on the fourth floor in an apartment complex with wooden floors and had my BL´5 playing at volume 85 without any complaints... Oh I do too, when I know the people on the first floor are away from their apartment :) Have you considered a BV9 720p version? This would be better for SD than the current 1080p model. My BV7

TripEnglish: I have to agree with Dave that the television is not the biggest concern here. BeoLab 5s in a 25 square foot room is like a Lambo on a sidewalk. I'm not even sure 9s would be alright in this room! Correct. I rarely use my BL5's and they are in a reasonably large room. I could never watch movies through the BL5's, unless I was

  • Re: Part Exchange

Peter : Most dealers will offer part exchange - however the prices offered may not be that great I agree. It also depends on what you are trading against. If it's a BV9, you'd receive a far better trade-in valuation for your old TV compared to, say, a BV8-26. My new philosophy is to try and keep my Beovision for around 3 years max and then trade

  • Re: Updating the BV7-40 on Your own?

Knubbi: @moxxey: I meant "Con" in terms of pros&cons as positive and negative side effects. I am German and may have chosen an inappropriate word by accident. Sorry for the word choice if it was inappropriate. That's what I thought, don't worry :) As I said, may of our British readers email us (as magazine publisher's) stating

  • Re: Updating the BV7-40 on Your own?

Knubbi: Is there any comprehensive changelog including negative side impacts of the updates? What is the biggest Con to update with the BV 7-40 MK3? Read this: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/130955.aspx Con? I'm not sure what you mean. I think people mis-use the word 'con'. I get this a lot when readers see magazine promotions and

  • Re: BV7 40 MKIII / SW 4.24 problem

seanklemis: what setting is everyone else using with the standby opptions for SKY HD? I have absolutely no issues with standby with my Sky HD box. It's set to leave the box on and the box stays on all the time. However, I have problems with my link room TV stating 'this TV does not support HDCP' since sw 5.00a. That's the only current

mawheele: I am going to ask B&O to extend my product warranty by a further year. Anyone else done similarly or had other offers of help from B&O UK? No. B&O UK won't deal directly with customers. You have to go through your dealer. I've tried. Also, this whole 'warranty' issue is debatable. For example, who pays for the engineer
