Thanks everyone I bought a super adhesive spraypaint. The krylon fusion variety. "The no-prep, superbond paint. For plastic, metal..." Antistatic mat?? I feel unprepared!

Then with a little newspaper, some scissors and about a half a roll of masking tape, the lid is covered and ready for paint. Time to wrap up the BeoMaster now.

The deed is done. Not wanting to do too much damage, I used 400 grit sandpaper.

Next step, rough up the mirror panel to accept fresh, new, white paint. Feeling nervous and a little sick to my stomach!

Ahhh, much better! Anyone ever tried to photograph just this piece? Very difficult!

While the paint dries on the control panel, I will prep the lid for cleaning and and a light sanding. This picture shows the defects much better. I have put up with this for too long, this makeover is long overdue!
