they work together very well. I have BL7.1 - BL8000 - BL6000 and I am very satisfied with the sound. For music, I only use speaker 2 mode (stereo) and some times speaker 4 (enhanced stereo), for background music. So the BL7.1 is only in use for news on TV or in speaker 5 mode for movies, and there, it does a very good job. As I live on the second floor
