I think you can control it from the CD mode. It doesn't need to be connected to the TV via scart, it has SVHS as well. It is actually quite common in the US to connect it to non B&O TVs, projector acts pretty much like one. JK

It can get a bit rainy in Germany or Switzerland around that time. It's not reallly a "few tourist" thing to do but I would probably do the trip to Munich. They have amazing art museums. Zurich itself is supposed to be very beautiful as well and then there is Lake Como in Italy, touristy though as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Como

I have an Imac with Ired/IrTrans and control Frontrow via Beo4. This includes a page up page down like workaround for fastscrolling. Works OK.If the TV is just for occasional viewing I think you could try to get a deal on the BV7 32. It seems everyone is eyeing an upgrade which may or may not come (only for 40" it was confirmed). Did you consider getting

Don't think it's low end components, for some funy reason the cheapest of the cheapest CD players typically have a very good track rate playing damaged CDs in my experience. Did you consider returning the CD? It may be an issue with the disk itself rather then the copy protection. JK

I would not jump on used since you have no way of assesing the lamp. Quick on and offs for example may damage it. Also, there is a significant difference between business projectors and those for home cinemas. For DVD watching I would recommend he Infocus IN72. You can pick it up in the US for 400 to 500$, not shure how much it goes for in Europe. JK

I don't think both are yet ready for prime. The whole 1080P on a 40" screen may be debate-able too. I think it would be nice if B&O would support the leading technology in a few years. Lastly, we can always at external devices like HDR2 to the BV. Why put a drive now into the DVD when only half of all new released movies would be available

>> So the total cost was 109.000 Kr = $ 15931 with the stand !<< US prices are always without tax, so if you add the average 8% and then the 1000 for the stand you are pretty much in the same range. Except that you nordic guys probably have 20 or so percent tax ..... JK

Kann es sein das du einen sehr alten BS3000 hast? Die allerersten waren nicht mit dem Beoport compatible, koennen aber upgegradet werden. Kannst due den BS auf NTAPE stellen? Netmusic?

>>why on earth are they doing this<< This is probably for some sort of gadget website. There is a whole bunch of people lustering what sort of processor is used, what battery etc etc ... Wait a few days and Isupply will do the same to come up for the true cost of that item ....

The salling clicker actually provides an object that you can call from Apple Script. I used that initially to implement my fast scrolling workaround IRED/IRTRANS. Holding the cross down started it, pushing any other key stopped it. That worked amazingly well. However when I upgraded my Imac to 1GB of RAM the scrolling became to fast and you couldn't
