evman140: So could the plastic bezel tabs not supporrting the circuit board be the problem? The spacial relationship between the glass and the board is critical.

This subject has been covered on the forum a number of times. I am sure a search would reveal several useful threads. The glass touch panels are no longer available from B&O. The cheapest option if you need to replace is to buy a cheap, cosmetically challenged Beomaster 3500 and rob the parts. They are identical!

TripEnglish: Most of our cables come from CZ now, however I've also experienced about 3-5 day lead times on these. Of course that's under normal circumstances. Anything can go on backorder in any country. B&O spares are now wharehoused on the Czech site and are normally with my dealer within 48 hrs.

Peter : Don't do it!! I have a full 2400 system down at Eastbourne - a real classic. And like Russ, I bet you would have a job to give it away! I will now put on suitable head-gear and flack jacket. Penta 1 not suitable as they don't have powerlink sockets. Best to get Penta 2 or 3 and some Mk2 powerlink cables and that will be fine.
