Dave: Moxxey, i'm curious. Please explain to us why you are concerned about the Hz of a LCD screen. A 100Hz CRT screen vs a 50Hz is the difference in flicker and picture sharpness. Did I say I was concerned? No, I was just pointing out the (guessed) differences between the current MKIII and the MKIV and that I'm planning on upgrading, regardless

The_Beonic_Man: V9 achieve the same as the BeoSound 9000 has in terms of longevity? ) If not, why not? I would not accept an answer that audio products differ from tv products. Technology is technology, whichever way you look at it and everything gets superceded ... or does it? (BS 9000) Funny thing is that I've never bought in to the BS 9000. It

thavn: Obviously the Full HD panel is better when you play a BD, but what about a normal DVD on a 1080p panel vs a 720p tv? Will it look better on the 720 panel because of poor upscaling on the 1080 panel? Am I correct if I presume that the BV7-32 has no real improvement in Picture Quality over my old Avant DVD 100 hz. What about HD broadcasts? A normal

soundproof: "Why can't I just get all my television like this?" Which they now can. Check out Hulu.com for what's happening. Problem in the UK is two-fold: most broadband providers now cap your bandwidth and it's often as low as 10GB/month. If you're a film buff, and you started downloading movies (or stream them), then you're

Ehlerz: If i was to my collect media only from a visual aspect, i would NOT go for the huge Bl5´s... I don't just go for stuff for the 'visual aspect'. However, I want my place to look overly cluttered either! Even BL9s in a medium sized room is overkill. Watch a recent Blu-ray movie and the sound really resonates around the room.

Noelke: Does it make sense to invest in a Blu-Ray player when it is connected to an Avant RF 100hz? Will it clearly show a better picture quality? A CRT based TV has just 576 image lines while Blu-Ray/HD has a minimum of 720 image lines. So a CRT has no possibility to show the image potential of Blu-Ray. Or do I see something wrong? Sound quality will

Olof: Hmm, I have the feeling that my BeoLab 3 has too much Bass :-( Yep. I had them connected with the BL3s, but I found they couldn't keep up with fast electronic music and, with movies, they were a bit too boomy at times. Ditched both the BL3s and BL2 and replaced with BL9s. Much better all-round audio experience (for movies).

Ehlerz: WOW...Nice setup... It seems that even though it may not be ideal, you have room for lab 5´s on each side of your BV9. Depends on personal preference of-cause, but i think it would look AWSOME.. not to forget sound AWSOME.. I actually do not plan to have much more than a television, lab 5´s, lab 3´s on floorstands and a sofa

soundproof: I can clearly see a difference between my upscaled DVDs and HD-Ready, but at my viewing distance of 3m+, I can't tell a difference.. You're right for most TV programmes. However, Blu-ray movies do have deeper and more vibrant colours when compared to their SD counterparts. I've been upgrading my most important SD movies to Blu

TerryM: As for the alleged poor picture quality of SD material on a1080p panel surely this is dependent on the quality of the sources. Absolutely correct. If you watch a HD-filmed TV programme on BBC One, it's far superior to anything from ITV. Particularly sport. This is through Sky. However, analogue standard definition is even worse. F1 or football
