    My personal opinion for what it's worth is that B&O have produced so called "audiophile" equipment in the past with the Beolab 5000 system & the tangential turntables of the Beogram 4000 era. A lot of their equipment though could never stand up to some of the more exotic stuff on the market which comes at a very high premium and

    Tell you what though John, you don't see these guys rolling around crying like footballers after a tap on the shin! Did you see Jamie Jones Buchanan getting stuck in with a bit of sellotape round his head after a receiving a gash which required 6 stitches at half time? Hard or what? Chris.

    ridax: Medogsfat: Simply buy a compatible AA 4 cell battery pack As far as I remember there are 5 cells in the battery pack? OOPS, yes there are 5 Ridax. I'm fairly confident that someone has successfully done this using NiMH batteries too. I'm getting old. Chris.

    If you are handy with a soldering iron it isn't too difficult. I have done this successfully - as have other beoworld members. Simply buy a compatible AA 4 cell battery pack, There is nothing special about the original Ni Cad pack fitted to these, try searching ebay for battery packs intended for rechargible remote control model cars etc..... Welcome

    Peter : Many thanks to him - he is on the hunt for some CX50 drivers if anyone has some spare! He is looking for one that needs refoaming! That will definately NOT be a problem Peter. I have a box of these needing refoaming (thanks Graham ( joeyboygolf ) and the surrounds will be arriving shortly. The least I can do is send him a couple when they are
