Good work and great pics. I read elsewhere on here that some mirror panels have the flat grey factory paint finish underneath, some people were just removing the polished layer to reveal the near new factory grey finish underneath. I think this was on the 9500 mirror panels. not sure it applies to the 4500.
I wish I still had that issue of B&O magazine, great article. I will start my itinerary!

I remember when I was first introduced to B&O, my dealer gave me a catalog and it talked all about this man who dedicated himself to the BeoLab 5000 system. An islander of some sort if I remember correctly?? Is this man the famous Frede Kristiansen I keep reading about?

It is great for bass power as the amplifier can be smaller and the heat sinks not so prominent, but for the top and midrange, I cannot see any real advantage except economy of production. Fantastic news! Now I will just have to keep my eye out for them!

Thanks everyone! I have to work today and tomorrow so it is going to move at a snail's pace until next week.
Can't quite imagine what this is going to look like atm. But certainly interesting! Was the panel really beyond recovering by a pro metal polisher?
My goal is to match the top to the sides and front

Did they ever sell the BeoMaster/BeoLab 5000 in the U.S. or in a 110v version? I'm starting to get the itch.... Wonderful collection John!

Only a few passes in, a bug got caught in the crossfire, halt everything! He must be removed. To the garage for my pinpoint needle nose pliers, steady hands!
