Yes. The two extra pins are for datalink which your new CD player will not have so is not needed. what is wrong with your 6500 though? It is likely that you have been told that the laser has blown or needs replacing. It is much more likely that there is simply a capacitor or two on the laser control board that needs replacing - cheap!

Mine does not appear like that though I suppose digital cameras may make things look different - I'll have a go sometime myself!

Yes, but a Beo4 would be worth it in the long run. Some of the less used video functions work differently on the Beo4 but for every day use, the BL1000 will be fine.

You can tell when the screen is on but I am quite impressed with the blacks. There is also some edge bleed which I believe is due to the edge lighting system but I have not found this distracting.

Slight artefact with white letters on a black background but not really noticeable unless you go looking - the BV7-55 does something similar. Remain very impressed with the picture quality with all sources and coming around more to the sound now I have altered the speaker settings. I still think the centre speaker has too much weight in a surround set

The fault here is with the supplier - one way around is to do exactly what it is supposed to prevent and copy the CD onto another disc - it will then play fine!

I would go for the 7-2 as it is stereo and also matches your other speakers. As long as you have one B&O reote control product (the BC2) , the non B&O can also work - I would suggest you contact Keith when he gets back from his trips. I see no particular problems here! Welcome to Beoworld.

Two slightly different issues here. I think the delayed delivery of your BV10 is very poor. I you ordered at launch, you should really have had it for Christmas. I actually ordered mine before launch but I know that a number have been delivered up here. I think you should be given accurate delivery information and kept informed at all times. The Beocom

Depends on the serial number of your speaker. If you have an early model S/N 17772145 or below, S/W 1.62A. If you have one later than this but before 21221146, S/W 2.61A. Any model after that can take S/W 3.00A.
