    Upgrading your STB to a PVR with twin tuners and controlled by the Beo4 is no problem, many units are supported and work perfectly on the AVANT DVD. All the most popular units are supported and you just need to decide which one you will purchase.

    Spiros, There was four versions of the Beolink 5000 which I am aware of. A Mark I & II for US and a Mark I & II for everyone else. I have never seen a US version, but you may wish to look at the four digit "Type" number Type 1534 was a US Mark I Type 1623 was a US Mark II Type 1531 was a Mark I for everyone else Type 1620 was a Mark

    I do not intend to go into the line item technical detail of how I achieved my objective, it was more to show that the Beo5 is a fantastic product and has many capabilities still not used or have not been made available yet. There was several postings talking about how many IR diodes there was etc, all this data can be found in the " Overview "

    Gerd: Beo5 Configuration Tool version 1.30 will not allow you to update your Beo5 firmware to version 1.34a without being connected to B&O's Intranet In order to being able to update to 1.34a you just need the following files: - Beo5CT.exe.config in main program folder "Beo5 Configuration Tool" - beo5RevD.bin , beo5RevE.bin and beo5RevF

    wtlc2zpx: Thanks Keith, So, is it OK to update the firmware of the remote at the dealer's shop, and then use the 1.30 config software at home without connection to B&O's intranet? p. If your dealer updates your Beo5 firmware to 1.34a, then you can use the Beo5 Configuration Tool version 1.30 at home without being logged into the B&O
