The BeoVision 8 has the option to switch speaker modes. You could connect the aTV to both audio and video master, but I don't see what advantage this would give you other than the ability to switch off the screen of the BeoVision 8 and still hear the sound from the Apple TV.

Yes, the HDMI to DVI cable should work. The Phono-Phono lead will ONLY work with the Apple TV though, not the MacMini. The MacMini only has a minijack audio output, not a phono output like the aTV. A smart move would be to then get an optical to coaxial digital converter (search Maplins' website), and connect the aTV via digital audio as well...

My BeoMaster 4400 sat in a box dormant in an ex-B&O retailer since '77 (never been used) and still had the price & sellotape on the outside of the box. I'd get your B&O dealership to do it! The Apple TV uses the HDMI standard, but the BeoVision 7-32 doesn't have HDMI connections yet, it uses a DVI connection. For this you will need an HDMI > DVI adapter to which you will connect an HDMI cable, the other end of which goes in the Apple TV. They're not likely to know in the Apple Store, as B&O TVs tend

Bear in mind that the Apple TV can start playing before the movie has finished downloading, so say you're going to watch a 2 hour movie which takes 3 hours to download, you could start watching after an hour of downloading...
