Hi, all info' is in the products section:- Beolit 700 Beolit 707 Chris.

Nice idea in theory, the main problem with moving this to the general forum is that due to high traffic it would soon disappear off the end of the page and hardly ever be seen again. To that end I personally think it is best left here - mobe miight disgree though When CS2008 is up & running there will be more options to post these in the members

I don't think there will be too much of a problem. I successfully used a German Beocom 6000 for years until it got dropped in the bath so compatibility shouldn't be an issue. As Andy says, you may just need some adaptor or differently wired plug. Chris.

Hi Aaron, baby wipes followed immediately with a soft cloth to prevent any slight smears is as good as anything. I wouldn't risk any kind of polish on the metal surfaces as they are anodised and impossible to regain the high finish if you mess them up. Chris.

Hi Tony and welcome to Beoworld The Beogram 1602 is the 110V US version of the Beogram 1600 which uses the MMC20** series of cartridge. These are integrated units and the stylus itself is not replacable. You can aslo fit any of the earlier MMC3000 to 6000 cartridges but these are now very old and liable to fail drastically in any case (if you can find

Peter : Subir Pramanik . However I am afraid I don't think the letters SP are in honour of him. Engineer Pramanik joined B&O in 1965; the SP1 was introduced in 1960 and was the brainchild of Eric Rørbæk Madsen. I have a suspicion that SP stands for Stereo Pick-up! Fair enough Peter - it would be nice if my theory was correct though

Hi Harold, SP doesn't mean Spare Part (although I can see your logic here), all you need to know about these & other B&O cartridges can be found HERE in the products list of Beoworld. The SP I believe is taken from the name of the man who designed the profile of the diamond stylus but the name escapes me S***** Pramanik I think???. Hope

What you are describing sounds very much like you need to replace the cartridge. It could be either the stylus itself or the cartridge suspension causing the problems, either way it needs replacing as they are not financially viable to have repaired. A new sound-smith cartridge should definately minimise any unwanted noise but of course this will depend

Hi Aaron, frankly if everything is working OK then there's no real need to do anything. As for the CD player - the off the shelf CD cleaners are a complete waste of money, the only way to clean a Laser unit would be to remove the casing of the CD player and use a cotton bud (Q tip) dipped in either pure alcohol (preferrence) or distilled water and

Hi Rasmus, no need to feel that you have wasted our time here, B&O are renowned for fooling people with their discreet buttons - you aren't the 1st - and certainly won't be the last person to fall for this. As for the "crackiling" sound, Is the stylus on your cartridge clean and is the tracking weight set correctly? To set the
