We have arrived at the end of a day's hard work. The lid is nearly completed and the Gram is ready to go, both are scheduled for final paint tomorrow AM!

There is an odd feeling that comes with knowing that there are pieces of B&O out in your yard.
-
Such an easy masking! Just the sides and back to wrap, no grill or complex tabs to work around!
-
Just like I did on the Master, lightly rough up the surface with some 400 grit paper.
-
All I can see worth doing is applying some new lithium grease to the gears for the hinge motor. Belt is fine.
What pray tell, are you doing with an ice pick in your house?????
Oh relax, its from an automotive pick set.
-
A quick look underneath just to check around.

On the BeoGram it is easier to remove the wire harness at the point on the PCB of the Gram, rather than on the operation panel. This is the only way to remove it since the glass is blocking the access to the connections at the other end. Before you remove the operation panel completely, open the lid under power. The lid comes off by sliding upwards

This unit does have one thing going for it, the glass and bezel parts are still intact. Which ultimately means no damaged paint to fix! Not to mention the time I will save by not having to remount the operation panel. Anyhow... Just like on the BeoMaster, the operation panel slides to the left when released by the internal catch. I used an ice pick

Thanks Beek! This picture doesn't do the damage justice. There is a series of small inward deformations along the crease of the lid.
