  • Re: New adhesive tape (Source LEDs) for Beomaster 2000?
Looks good mate! Does it match well to your volume lights? I hope it doesn't fade to brown with the heat from the bulbs. Andy T.
Well, as I said before, those are LEDs anyway. So there is no heat. Let's hope it lasts forever. By the way, it doesn't really change the colour. The LEDs are already green

  • Re: New adhesive tape (Source LEDs) for Beomaster 2000?

Maybe someone has the same problem and needs a good solution (I finally had the time to do this): I couldn't really find any colours that matched the original colour of the tape. I ended up using coloured transparent paper - looks great and is way easier than painting the whole thing.

  • Re: Anyone out there with a single Beovox S30?

It's been one month now and not even one pair of S30s appeared on eBay. Sadly shipping for Lee's was a bit too expensive in my opinion, so I tried to find a pair on eBay Germany (thats where I got the others more or less for free - bought two complete systems and sold on the other components). After all I'm still looking for a new woofer

  • Re: Workshop VX5000 VX5500 How to repair and test this recorder, common faults

    W
Yes, this is a cap problem on the upper mainboard.
Well, doesn't look like though. I finally had time to work on the VX. Replaced every single cap on the upper Mainboard, the Tuner, the Power supply and the 12V/HF-Board. At least the problem changed a bit...now the picture runs over the screen horizontally

  • Re: My new arrangment
And can you find APPLE on the picture ?
I see a Powerbook G4 Titanium Mercury on top of the shelf (Mercury means the 400/500MHz VGA model - recognizable by the yoyo-type power adaptor. Newer models shipped with the white power adaptors.). Did I win something?
Mika, this is Beomaster on your avatar picture ?
It's a 900K, isn't it? Very nice unit, but hard to get nowadays.... By the way, there is one in this months Prize Draw....
except for the front panel, which was a royal pain in the derrier, with having to desolder the FM presets and to detach the dial & volume cords to get it off. Definitely not fun.
That was exactly what I meant. Best thing was one of my "BMs" (I call all of those units BM - they are more or less

  • Re: Beomaster ?

I owned two 901s and two 1500s... As Peter said, the 1500 is certainly the nicer looking unit (especially with rosewood veneer). On the other hand, the 901 is way more reliable. I would prefer the 901 if I were you - those are more or less easy to service. But if you have a broken 1500 - and there are almost no fully working units out there (both my
