Thanks. That rule of thumb is helpful. Any other recommendations for a codec that could survive the forseeable future that would reduce the file size even more w/o compromising sonic goodness? Barry

Sorry if this has already been covered before. I have a beoMedia at present, and I am curious to know if any codec that is shared between the BeoMedia 1 and Beosound 5 that yields the smallest file size in a lossless codec. Also, as the title of the thread stated, what should I expect a WMA lossless, Beoplayer encoded CD of 71 minutes length to yield

Like fans of a for-years-in-the-basement sports team, count me amongst those who are true B&O "fans". I agree that AV technology today is moving at a very fast clip, and that B&O needs to reinvent their design/production/manufacturing strategy (think Porsche from the early 90's on) That said, I'm willing to continue to support

When I contacted US Beocare and asked why I couldn't view the new Beosound 5 website on my Beomedia, the first answer was "I think you should be able to see a B&O website on a B&O product designed

I'm interested in knowing if trying to bring up to date (Windows XP SP3, for instance) through Microsoft Update can harm/handicap my Beomedia's performance. It certainly would let more websites be visible. Barry

I *hate* my Beo 5 because my dealer WILL NOT aloow me access to the configurator program. I'm so jealous of all here who have access to it, and can tool aorund and customize their Beo 5 for themselves. This is a major PR blunder, IMHO, for BeoCare US Barry

When I loaded in a new CD into my PC, I was prompted to complete the "AMG Disc Information" guide, which I did for the title and artist, but not the individual tracks. When I ask Beoplayer to update the CD metatag info, it couldn't complete the task. Now I am left with tracks with "Untitled" monikers. Anyone know how I can go

Be sure you toggle completely down the speaker choice menu. Whe sound comes out of the RT speaker, that is the correct menu choice. Barry

Hey, don't forget that "excess cable" behind components can make for easier servicing/access. It may be neat to cable "just right", but, IMHO, it's not practical. FWIW Barry
