  • Re: Starting my Beosystem 8000 restoration.

Hi, Well done, great find at an unbelievable price! The beomaster alone in working order is worth more than USD500, if mint more. All worth getting back into working order. You can download the service manual on beoworld but you'll need to join as at least a silver member. Martin can also assist with the caps as he has kits for most likely all of

  • Re: Favourite product in the current range?

Well if I had lots of spare change, my favourites which are on a wish list hidden away somewhere are as follows.... 1. BS9000 - classic! 2. BL5 - would love to have a big room to put these in... 3. BV9 - iconic ...... Enough day dreaming for now, especially while at the office...........

  • Re: We all share the same passion!

Yes we all do...and nice to see it.... Nice photos guys, I always find it interesting to see how others have integrated their systems into their homes ... as soon as I get my BM6000 back (7 weeks...sigh...) I will endeavour to upload photos to also share with you my systems. I think we should have more 'sharing / exchange' threads like this

  • Re: Soundproof's Guide for using iPhone or iPod Touch as a remote!

Hi Soundproof, I know I'm a little slow on this, but I just wanted to say a big thank you for taking the time and energy to put together this guide for Peter and those like myself who may not otherwise have pursued putting together such a wireless network, thinking it too complex. Over the holidays, I finally had the time to finish setting up my

  • Re: Beocentral Book Review

Hi Peter, Thanks for your review, it really convinced me to quickly get a copy (they ran out fast, that'll teach me for procrastinating!), ordered mine yesterday. Hopefully the reprint will be soon, can't wait! Thanks, Laurence.

  • Re: BM 6000 225x - Trim

Hi Geoff, Thanks for your input. Infact I had considered this, getting a carpenter to re-veneer the trims. Only thought was trying to match the veneer (B&O Rosewood/Palisander) might prove a little challenging and this was my intent to come closer to the speakers veneer grain. So the thinking was if I can source an existing trim that may be the

  • BM 6000 225x - Trim

Hi All, As I'm in the process of getting my 6000 into mint condition... its currently still at the service centre getting all the caps changed and a general tune up (been 5 weeks now (instead of 2) so a little worried... they say they've been busy and its a bigger exercise than expected as the contacts all needed to be cleaned etc.... but of

  • Re: How to save Bang & Olufsen

Good thread Trip! Many very interesting and positive suggestions for developing our beloved brand. While all the technical aspects are a little beyond my expertise I do agree that I think we need to have the products which are more hardware based rather than simply software based. I also agree that the software would need to be more fluid, adaptable
