True, but: I wanted something to play BluRay Movies, so I was going to get the PS3 anyway If I opened the PS3 I would have lost the warrenty, plus I believe that the max size is less than 1TB (320GB?) for the internal drive. Also navigating it would be tiresome plus by using the NAS, I could access it using any other device such as another laptop etc

You are probably right. I think ill buy an Airport Extreme base station and connect everything to that. Then ill bridge the connection to the cable provider's router... Funny thing is that once a non-B&O item gets introduced into your entertainment arena, everything is so much more complicated... and you do get to appreciate B&O's simplicity

Thanks everyone for your comments. The WD is connected via LAN (ethernet) to the router and the PS3 is via WIFI... however the files I'm trying to stream are nothing more than 700mb divx movies... so I doubt that its a bandwidth problem really. All those NAS servers you guys have sound great, however they feel like mini computers! The idea of the

Hi Everyone. For people that don't have a BM5/1, like me, can you advise a good NAS server that I can control with my PS3 via my beo4/5 ? I got a WD World Edition 1TB, and although the other WD My Book Studios are amazing, I find that it lags at least twice throughout a movie... I know that it might be a network issue but i doubt it... Thanks

Hi aweicc, Nice photos! Can I just ask what is being displayed on the BV8. I have a PS3 but cant see what you're seeing now... is it controllable with the beo4/5?

Hey I love CRTs! I just bought 3 Avants off Lee! Just what you said, general public, but B&O don't really sell to the general public...

Hi Jeff. Its a shame, I know... Personally I don't think ots worth changing to an mk2 system, you only seem to get 2 more handsets. Also mk1 bases are compatible with the mk2 phones I think...
-
Tut tut, mk1 phones will not work with mk2 base. You might be able to hear the ring tone once but then you can't reply, however I think you can make external calls... Therefore in other words, useless... Shame really.

They would be stupid to do such a thing. Also, although the white edition was a limited edition, it was nothing more than a means to generate some quick cash in difficult times. IF the BeoSound 9K was to be discontiued, B&O would create a new, Final Edition version of it AND market it as THE LAST BS9Ks! So no rushes :)

Ohhh yesss!!! Still have a Saab 900S 2.0 Convertible Black with custom twin exhausts: :) with a DynAudio sound system :) Founded in Denmark in 1977 ;) Ahh my love
